About this book

After Mario Rota sprains his ankle, a new tenant moves into the neighbouring flat and begins to threaten his place at work and his sense of identity. Cercas turns an ordinary accident into a taut, unsettling story of rivalry, duplication and paranoia. Originally written in Spanish as “El inquilino”, this is the Arabic edition published by Mamdouh Adwan Publishing House.
