About this book

On his fortieth birthday, Eladio Linacero tries to write the story of his life, moving through memories, fantasies and failed relationships. Onetti’s foundational novella breaks down the boundaries between experience and dream while portraying profound alienation. Originally written in Spanish as “El pozo”, the work appears here in an Arabic translation by Ali Ibrahim Ashqar.
