About this book

Carrying her daughter, Ingrid Barrøy leaves her island and crosses post-war Norway in search of the Russian soldier who fathered her child. Her journey reveals the scars left by war and the ways peace alters memory, truth and the lives of survivors. Originally written in Norwegian as “Rigels øyne”, the work appears here in an Arabic translation by Mohammad Habib.
