Their paths cross through the officer’s nephew, a theatre director rehearsing Dorfman’s play, and through actors whose roles begin to mirror the unresolved violence around them. The Confession examines memory, revenge, performance and responsibility, asking whether theatre can stage a reckoning that society and institutions continue to avoid.
