About this book

In a modest Santiago boarding house, workers, students, activists and performers witness the final days of Salvador Allende’s government before Pinochet’s coup. Skármeta blends humour and political urgency in a vivid portrait of Chile at a decisive historical moment. Originally written in Spanish as “Soñé que la nieve ardía”, this is the Arabic edition published by Mamdouh Adwan Publishing House.
